Being a work in progress school, we believe that continuous improvement is a fundamental part of any educator’s journey at GGIS. In order to honor this commitment to personal and professional growth, at the beginning of each academic year our teachers come together to participate in something known as the ‘Learning Fest’.
This event is a deeply treasured tradition that consists of multitudes of workshops and activities, that are curated keeping in mind the needs of students and teachers, and are meant to enrich the head, heart and hands.
Each Learning Fest has hordes of knowledge to offer; some highlights of past events would be “Lead the Change” – a seminar that teaches the importance of character and academic growth, “The 6 Thinking Hats” – an insight into parallel thinking, “Problem-solving” – to teach the importance of analytical thinking in growing minds, “Student sensitisation”- to discuss the importance of sensitivity in talking to learners, “The Art of Worksheet creation”- to help us fully take advantage of what worksheets are capable of and “Relaxing with Art”- a workshop about how art and meditation go hand in hand.
Learning and growth are both things that are a constant work in progress, and this annual festival enables us to grow in more ways than one.
