The GGIS assemblies are an exercise in community building. Unlike the regimented charades that school assemblies usually become, our assemblies are a time to share, learn and cheer for our school friends.
Every week students of different grades put up a show about a topic of their choice which they have prepared in class. The show usually carries a concept they are learning about or a problem they are facing. This is then depicted through mimes, skits, dances, songs, etc.
However, what makes the show unique is the feedback it receives from the audience made of their peers. The feedback mechanism makes the performing class and the audience far deeper involved in the process and for those performances that do really well, there is a unique GGIS clap as well!
